The long wait is over — the public can now enjoy the beautifully renovated rec center at West Shore Community College, with new equipment, a new group exercise room, new windows, new doors, lighting and more.
Wednesday was the first opening day after renovations, and on Thursday, the LDN did a walk through tour of the renovations with Julie Smith, director of the Wellness Center, and Noah Dodson, assistant manager at the recreation center.
“We got all new windows in the building. That’s a big part of working out here, just being able to have that neutral light coming in, and just to be able to see the views of campus,” Smith said, pointing to the rows of large windows, with the gently rolling hills and walkways bringing serene, country-side views.
