Paul Carter’s life-long passion for masterfully creating a wonderful culinary experience, which began when he was a young student in a catholic school, has come full circle now that he’s hired on as the new farm to table director and chef at Ludington Area Catholic.
Growing up in Livonia and graduating from Schoolcraft College with a Culinary Arts Degree, Carter explained his early inspiration — in sixth grade.
“My teacher said, ‘We’re going to go do Science down in the kitchen. We’re going to have yeast grow and make pizza, and spaghetti.’ He was just this wonderful Italian man that went on to choose to teach commercial foods and culinary arts, and by the time I got to follow him, the three years went by and he went on to be a foot surgeon, so I missed Mr. Alicia,” Carter said, explaini
