Scotland boss Steve Clarke and midfielder John McGinn both singled out Hibs defender Grant Hanley for his ‘outstanding’ performance in last night’s 0-0 draw with Denmark.
The Scots kicked off their quest for a first World Cup appearance since 1998 earning a potentially precious point against Denmark at the Parken Stadium.
Hanley was a rock at the heart of the Scotland defence and played a significant part in the team’s clean sheet.
After the final whistle Clarke said: ‘It’s a good start for us.
‘It was a very disciplined performance, which we knew it had to be. We certainly created enough going forward as well, which was good to see.
