Following the cabinet reshuffle on Friday which was announced after the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner, a number of junior appointments has been announced on Saturday and approved by HM the King.
Jason Stockwood who owns football club Grimsby Town, and previously held a role at Edinburgh company Skyscanner, will receive a Peerage for Life and joins government as Investment Minister.
It is debatable whether reports that the reshuffle was already planned are true, but certainly the Prime Minister acted quickly on Friday to try and regain control of the situation.
