MITCHELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office said that a man was a arrested for sexually abusing a minor Saturday.

Deputies said they received a call about a possible crime involving a juvenile. The sheriff’s office worked with the Spruce Pine Police Department on an investigation.

Officials said that as a result of the investigation, Spruce Pine police charged 44-year-old Ryan Henry Hoyle with two counts of indecent liberties with a minor. County detectives also charged Hoyle with a count of indecent liberties that occurred in the county.

Officials said that Hoyle’s total bond is $150,000, with a court date set for Sept. 23.
