Following a months-long investigation, police arrested a 61-year-old Falmouth man on cocaine trafficking charges.
The arrest occurred Friday, September 5 at 6 AM.
Police said they spotted the man, who they identified as Micheal P. Lutfy of Greengate Road, on Locust Street. Police said Lutfy fled the scene in his vehicle while discarding narcotics out the window.
Police pursued Lutfy onto Depot Avenue, where he was apprehended.
“Simultaneously, search warrants were executed at residences on Greengate Road and East Falmouth Highway,” police said. “As a result of these searches, officers seized a significant quantity of cocaine, cash and paraphernalia consistent with narcotics distribution.”
