LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A driver faces charges related to DUI after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash late Friday night in southeast Las Vegas, police said.

The deadly crash occurred at East Tropicana Avenue and McLeod Drive in southeast Las Vegas just before 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Police said a 2010 Honda Accord traveling west on Tropicana attempted to make a left turn, crossing into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with the car, and the rider was thrown to the roadway.

Emergency medical technicians took the motorcyclist, identified as a 37-year-old Las Vegas man, to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Honda driver, identified as Bryan Vargas-Caicedo, 36, of Las Vegas, showed signs of impairment and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
