CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Marty Brennaman is so woven into the fabric of the city of Cincinnati that he’s the voice that you hear over the speakers when you land at the airport. When he retired in 2019, the final line that he said on the air was, “If you see me out and about in town in the days and weeks and months and years to come, come up and say hello and we’ll chat a bit.”
On Saturday, Brennaman’s legacy in the city, in the Reds’ organization and in the broadcast booth will be recognized with the unveiling of a bronze sculpture facing Joe Nuxhall Way right at the front of the Crosley Terrace.
“The picture of Marty is synonymous with the picture of the Reds,” Jeff Brantley said.
“He’s a legend,” said Brent Suter. “A Cincinnati legend through and through. A baseball legend. A Hall of Famer
