LAPWAI, Idaho — An Idaho man is suspected of shooting two people in Lapwai Friday night after he said they broke into a shed on his property.

30-year-old Christian Forslof and his fiancee were at home when they say a man and woman broke into their shed. The couple called 911.

While police were en route to their home, Forslof's fiancee said Forslof shot the man and woman. The woman died before police arrived, and the man was taken to a hospital.

Police learned that the victims left Forslof's property, but Forslof chased after them and tried to hold them at gunpoint a quarter mile away from his home. Neither of the victims had any weapons.

Forslof and the woman started arguing. He fired the gun at her because she was pointing her finger at him and walking toward him aggressively, he said
