NAMPA, Idaho — A Nampa man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after police shot him during a confrontation Friday night.
Nampa police said officers responded to a report of "suspicious activity" near 6th Street North and 5th Avenue North in Nampa at 11:25 p.m. on Sept. 5. When they arrived, officers said they found a man carrying a knife.
The man reportedly refused to follow police commands, according to the police department, leading one officer to fire shots that wounded him. Paramedics took him to a local hospital, where he is being treated with life-threatening injuries.
