KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Investigators believe a deadly Saturday night shooting was brought on by an argument, the second leading cause of homicides in Kansas City.
Just before 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 6, the Kansas City Police Department was dispatched to the area of Bannister Road and James A. Reed Road on a reported shooting.
Officers were led inside a business where they found a man on the floor with gunshot wounds. He was unresponsive and died at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
It is believed the victim entered the business shortly before he was shot and got into an argument with other customers that escalated.
Detectives are searching for evidence and witnesses, but do not currently have a person of interest identified or anyone in custody.
