AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) - Six people are without a home after an apartment fire on Olympia Drive in Amherst Saturday morning.
Amherst Fire Chief Lindsey Stromgren stated that at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, crews were called to the Olympia Place apartment complex on Olympia Drive for a fire.
The department said that the entire complex is uninhabitable following the fire. Crews took approximately two hours to fully put out the flames. Two individuals were injured as a result and were brought to Cooley Dickinson Hospital to be treated.
The six individuals impacted by the fire are being assisted by the American Red Cross. The Amherst Fire Department received mutual aid from the Granby, Pelham, Belchertown, Hadley, and Northampton Fire Departments. The cause of the fire is unknown at
