More than $15,000 worth of parking fines were issued around Canberra Stadium the afternoon the Raiders won their first minor premiership in 35 years .
According to data collected by Access Canberra, ACT rangers issued 105 fines to vehicles parked illegally in Bruce on Saturday, August 30, to the tune of about $15,500.
Many fans returned to their vehicles after a day at the footy to find a yellow ticket on the windscreen, setting them back up to $318.
And while many bemoaned the expensive trip to Canberra Stadium, other fans said they got what they deserved.
"There are two signs there saying no parking. You are knowingly parking illegally and if you get a ticket that's completely fair. It's your own gamble," one user said in a community Facebook page.
