HANCOCK COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) - The case of a former Hancock County sheriff's deputy accused of child pornography moved forward in court Friday.

7 News was in the courtroom Friday morning.

Patrick Hoder has been indicted on a felony count involving more than 300 pieces of child pornography.

In court, investigators explained how the material was traced directly to his home through his personal IP address. The defense also asked the judge to consider a larger-than-normal jury pool to ensure a fair trial.

Investigators testified that more than 600 images were initially flagged, but that number was narrowed to just over 300 after excluding those considered "age questionable."
