A Belleview man was killed and a Crestview man seriously injured Sept. 5 in a one-vehicle crash in Lake County.

Here, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, is what we know about the case:

When and where was this crash?

The FHP does not have an exact time. The crash happened Sept. 5 at County Road 439 and Live Oak Ranch Road, which is in northeast Lake.

What happened in the crash?

According to the FHP, the 28-year-old Belleview man was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro northbound on CR 439, approaching Live Oak Ranch Road.

The patrol said he was driving at a high rate of speed. He drove off the right side of the road, went airborne toward a treeline, and struck a tree.
