GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) — This weekend, churches in the Triangle and throughout the country are rising up against hunger by joining forces to put food on the table.
Meals were prepped, packed and prayed over at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Garner, Saturday to put food on the table of people who might otherwise go hungry.
Pastor Wolfgang D. Herz-Lane and more than a hundred parishioners of Lord of Life — along with Christ the King Lutheran Church members of Cary — came together for this year’s “Rise Against Hunger” meal packing event.
