Detroit's Avenue Grill closed after car crash into building kills 1

After two cars crashed, one car struck Avenue Grill, 2155 Gratiot Ave., early Saturday, Sept. 6 morning.

The woman driving the car that struck the building died and the man driving the other car is in critical condition, according to police.

Avenue Grill is closed until further notice as it repairs the damage from the crash, according to the resturant.

A woman died, a man is in critical condition and Avenue Grill on Gratiot Avenue is closed until further notice after a car crash around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6.

After two cars got in a crash— one driven by the woman, the other by the man— the woman's car struck the outside of a business's building, Detroit Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Daron Zhou said.
