FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WKYT) - A deadly ATV accident has taken the life of a middle-school student in Fleming County.

The Fleming County Coroner tells WKYT that the accident happened on Thursday night. A juvenile was taken to UK Hospital for her injuries, where she died the next day.

The victim of the crash has been identified as 7th-grade student Lindsey Marshall, a cheerleader at the school.

“Lindsey was full of life, a loyal friend to many, and a cheerleader whose energy and smile lifted every person and every room she entered,” Fleming County Schools said in a Facebook post. “Her loss is beyond words.”

Fleming County Schools is offering counseling to anyone who needs it.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
