An American Airlines passenger was reported removed from a flight for allegedly telling a flight attendant to "shut up."

The incident happened Tuesday on a flight departing San Jose, Costa Rica.

@JayCrenshaw filmed footage of the incident and posted it to Instagram with the caption "Ever wonder what happens if you tell a flight attendant to shut up?"

He told Storyful that he was seated next to the disruptive woman, who he described as "having a bad morning" and "obviously disturbed or irritated about something" she was discussing on her phone, which appeared to be a video call.

At the start of the video, the passenger can be heard telling a flight attendant, "You should shut up," as the crew member approaches during the pre-flight safety briefing.
