Authorities are at the scene of a helicopter crash in Lakeville, Minnesota.

Lakeville PD said it received a report of a crash just west of Airlake Airport at 2:45 p.m., and found the downed craft near Highview Avenue and 219th Street West.

"Emergency personnel remain on scene and this remains an active incident," the department says, with no other details provided as of 4:30 p.m.

There is no word at this time of injuries, nor the number of people on board.

Flight tracking images shared by Minnesota news service MN Crime suggests the helicopter took off from Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie and circled to the east of Jordan before heading towards Lakeville.
