LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- To stay safe when the unexpected happens, the American Red Cross of Southern Nevada is encouraging families to make preparations now.

The Red Cross is using National Preparedness Month to remind families that a simple plan now can make a big difference later.

“Preparedness doesn’t have to feel overwhelming,” Rachel Flanigan, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter, said. “We’re asking Nevadans to take just four easy steps this month. By taking time now, families can reduce stress and stay safer when the unexpected happens.”
