LARAMIE, Wyoming (KCRG) - After a strong start to the Todd Stepsis era, the Northern Iowa Panthers struggled in their first road contest, falling 31-7 to Mountain West power Wyoming.
After the Cowboys scored first, the Panthers answered with a 90-yard drive, ending with Harrison Bey-Buie’s second touchdown of the season.
But Wyoming rattled off 24 straight points, taking advantage of two Matthew Schecklman interceptions.
Schecklman completed 15 passes for 107 yards. The Cowboys stifled UNI’s run game, the Panthers netted just 58 yards on the ground.
