As I write this it’s still my birthday and I’m taking an easy out by sharing some tried and true favorites.

Another “milestone” year is under my belt and it’s been a fun day.

Lunch with good friends, neighbors and my daughter Wendy at the Alisal Ranch golf club restaurant, delightful weather, and tons of birthday wishes from family and friends via Facebook and email. I'm also looking forward to a Pearigen family barbecue this weekend.

I’ve enjoyed my day, plus it’s been an interesting month, the Valley News turned 100, and, I, sad to say, am not far behind.

I figured I have earned this week’s "simple session" and hope the following recipes will click.
