Fire Officials Warn Against Entering Burning Buildings

SPRING HILL, Fla. – Hernando County Fire Rescue (HCFR) saved a home from total destruction and rescued multiple individuals, though the incident highlighted the dangers of entering a burning building.

Just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, HCFR was dispatched to a residential fire in the 200 block of Eastpoint Court in Spring Hill. The alarm was raised by a passing motorist who noticed smoke billowing from the home and immediately called 911.

Upon arrival, fire crews were met with heavy smoke conditions coming from the front of the residence.
