PORTLAND, Ore. — Police said they are investigating a triple homicide in Southeast Portland Saturday evening.

Police said that just after 5 p.m., officers were responding to a home on the 7300 block of Southeast 64th Avenue regarding a call about someone who had died by suicide. When they got there, they discovered that three people were dead of gunshot wounds: a man and two women.

Police did not give any more details, except that it is believed that the people were connected.

Portland Police Bureau's mobile command unit is on the scene; a KGW crew also observed officers coming in and out of a home near Southeast 64th Street.

Police said that 64th Street is closed but added that they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community at this time.
