BLOOMFIELD, Conn. — The First Cathedral in Bloomfield is working to put the needs of the people in the community first.

Assistant Pastor LeRoy Bailey III said for the congregation and community to thrive, they need to be able to live in a place that’s affordable.

“Just in Bloomfield alone, we believe it's about 11% affordable housing, which is a low percentage in terms of our community, they are continuing to build a lot of market rate houses around us. So, we found that that is very important for us, as a community, to offer a more economical solution for our community, which is affordable housing,” Bailey said.
