HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii Rainbow Warrior football team takes on the Sam Houston State University BearKats on Saturday.
The ‘Bows are looking to bounce back after they suffered their first loss of the season last week against the University of Arizona Wildcats.
Manoa faces uncertainty at the quarterback position after Micah Alejado reinjured his ankle last week and was seen in a walking boot earlier in the week.
Alejado was not suited up during warm-ups, and Luke Weaver will start for the ‘Bows against the BearKats.
This is the second meeting between UH and SHU, who beat Manoa last year in Huntsville, Texas.
However, the BearKats have lost their first two games, each by 17 points.
ESPN analytics is favoring Hawaii to win Saturday’s matchup.
