ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Saturday afternoon, the New Mexico State Fair held its annual Battle of the salsas, showcasing recipes from across the state. They went head-to-head to be crowned the best of the best.

The first 250 fairgoers got a complimentary bag of chips to taste the smoking sauces. There were over 20 different submissions, but there could only be one true winner to stand on top.

Ol' Gringo New Mexico won the gold with their hot salsa. Los Roast Green Chile Salsa came in second, and coming in at third was Fiesta on the Go with their pico de gallo salsa.
