CLEMSON — Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney is confident about the Tigers despite their performance in the first two weeks of the season.
No. 8 Clemson (1-1) beat Troy 27-16 on Sept. 6 at Memorial Stadium. The Tigers needed their third-largest comeback at home to beat a Sun Belt Conference team after trailing 16-0 against the Trojans (1-1) in the second quarter.
The Tigers' shaky first-half performance came after Clemson struggled against No. 4 LSU, losing 17-10 to earn its four straight defeat to an SEC opponent. Yet, Swinney isn't ready to panic.
"We're a talented team, talented roster. We played two tough games," Swinney said. "One that came down to the last play against a pretty good team. ... then you saw a team today down, get up and fight back."
