GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - We’re now less than 24 hours away from the Packers’ season opener at Lambeau Field, and to set the stage, hundreds of fans participated in a community paint-by-numbers fence event along Lombardi Avenue.

One of the painters on hand was a former player who will be honored during Sunday’s game against the Lions.

There was more than just green and gold used to paint the fence on the corner of Lombardi Avenue and Ridge Road on Saturday morning.

After doing paint-by-numbers for the last two years, Zane Statz, the designer behind this mural, says it’s a great way to get the community involved ahead of the Packers season.
