ST. PAUL— A thoroughly dominant first-half showing carried Minnesota Duluth to a 61-7 dismantling of Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday at Sea Foam Stadium.
The Bulldogs opened up a 40-0 lead at halftime and kept their foot on the gas over the final 30 minutes of play.
“A game like that — sometimes you can get down in the second half and not have a ton of energy,” said UMD head coach Curt Wiese. “I thought our guys enjoyed the game; they had a lot of fun and played focused football in the second half.”
“We’re a young team, but our guys are hungry, and we look forward to next week.”
With the win, the Bulldogs have now won 12 straight games over the Golden Bears dating back to the 2005 season.
