Metro Police arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with the fatal stabbing of his roommate at their downtown apartment, officials said.

Christian Bryant was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon after the incident in the 2400 block of Clifford Avenue.

Police received a report of a stabbing at 3:50 a.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, they found a male victim with apparent stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the victim and Bryant had been involved in an argument prior to the stabbing. Bryant fled the scene but was later apprehended by officers.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
