A switch at quarterback briefly changed the momentum for Tulsa on Saturday against New Mexico State, but new coach Tre Lamb still has work to do in changing the direction of the Hurricane football program.

The positive vibes of TU’s opening victory over Abilene Christian didn’t carry over to Las Cruces, New Mexico, as the Hurricane were mostly ineffective in a 21-14 defeat against the Aggies.

TU was looking for its first 2-0 start since 2015 and its first victory in its initial road game of the season since that same year.
