NORMAN — Seemed a lot like the Tennessee game, didn’t it?

A gorgeous day for an historic event; OU’s first Southeastern Conference game a year ago, Michigan’s first visit to Owen Field on Saturday night.

Thousands of visitors in unique colors — Tennessee pale orange, Michigan blue with the maize accent — walking around, among the bigger traveling fan bases ever to grace campus.

A Sooner alumnus leading the infidels. Josh Heupel with Tennessee, Sherrone Moore with Michigan, each sporting a ballyhooed freshman considered the national prize of his recruiting class, the Volunteers’ Nico Iamaleava, the Wolverines’ Bryce Underwood.
