Auburn football entered its game with Ball State without its starting running back Damari Alston (shoulder) but showcased its much-ballyhooed depth to rush for 224 total yards in a 42-3 victory.

In his first career start with the Tigers, Jeremiah Cobb led the Tiger backfield with 121 yards and two scores.

Cobb scored the Tigers’ first touchdown from a 46-yard sprint on Auburn’s second drive of the game. Auburn coach Hugh Freeze was proud of what he saw from his junior back Saturday night.
