Stephen King, the acclaimed author, has made a bold prediction regarding President Donald Trump's supporters. He believes that in the coming decades, many of them will deny ever voting for him. King shared his thoughts in an interview with a UK newspaper, where he discussed the potential cultural backlash against Trump.

King, 77, expressed his concerns about the long-term perception of Trump and his administration. He stated, "There’s a story about the home run that was heard around the world. There are… tens of thousands of people who will say, ‘I saw Bobby Thomson hit that home run,’ and there were only, like, 5,000 people in the stands that day. So I think the opposite is true [with Trump]. Twenty or 30 years down the line, when I’ll be dead and you’ll be old, I think a lot of people are going to say, ‘Well, I never voted for Trump.’"

In the interview, King also criticized the Trump administration's immigration policies. He likened the deportation of criminal illegal aliens to themes found in dystopian literature. He remarked, "Nobody would have believed where we are today, with Gestapo agents in the street — they call themselves ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement], but they’re basically guys that are armed, they are wearing masks, they have huge amounts of money to spend and they are everywhere."

King acknowledged that some of his fans may support Trump, but he feels a responsibility to voice his opinions. He referenced a Pete Seeger song, saying, "It’s a question, like the song says, ‘Which side are you on?’"

The White House responded to King's comments through spokeswoman Abigail Jackson. She stated, "Since Stephen has spent so long writing fiction, it’s understandable that he’d have no grasp on reality."

King has been a vocal critic of Trump for years. He has previously called for Trump's impeachment and has compared the treatment of migrant families to scenarios in his horror novels. He continues to engage with his audience on social media, where he has nearly seven million followers.
