Millions more households will get financial support this autumn and winter to help pay for energy bills.

The Government is extending the Warm Home Discount to more Brits for 2025/26.

The discount knocks £150 off bills one time only between October and March, and most eligible people should get it before the end of January.

The welcome saving on bills will allow money to be put towards other things over the expensive Christmas period.

Changes this year mean all Universal Credit claimants will qualify for the Warm Home Discount.

Some of the poorest pensioners, those who receive the Guarantee element of Pension Credit, also qualify.
