MOSCOW, Idaho - The Idaho Vandals handled business in Week 2, pushing past the St. Thomas Tommies 37-30.
Idaho, in a special "Fightin' Taters" day, mashed the Tommies in the second and fourth quarter, outscoring them 34-20 across those frames. Seven of St. Thomas' 14 fourth-quarter points were on a short touchdown with 11 seconds remaining.
Joshua Wood opened play with an interception, but he followed it up with a 281-passing yard and 87-rushing yard performance, including four touchdowns.
The win is Coach Tom Ford's first as the Vandals head, and he was greatly appreciative of the strong home support.
