PULLMAN, Wash. - Despite the Aztecs getting on the board first, the Cougars pieced together a much more compelling offense this week and managed a 36-13 win against San Diego State.

In the late night match-up on the Palouse, redshirt sophomore quarterback Jaxon Potter completed 28-of-42 passes and made it through four quarters without a sack or interception in his second career start.

Tight end Trey Leckner had the game of his career with two touchdown receptions. Wide receiver Leon Neal Jr., who just earned a scholarship this past spring to start out his fifth year in the program, brought in an 18-yard reception for his first career touchdown. Josh Meredith had eight receptions for 88 yards.
