Electric vehicle groups to showcase cars in north Alabama events as tax credit deadline looms

A variety of electric vehicles will be on display at two events in north Alabama over the next two weeks.

Electric vehicle owners will be on hand to talk with anyone interested in owning the vehicles.

The first free EV showcase is set for Cullman Electric Cooperative as part of its annual meeting on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. until noon. The second free event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., near the Tesla Superchargers at MidCity in Huntsville.

“The fact is that EVs have become so politicized by the headlines that the facts get lost,” said Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition President Michael Staley, who drives an all-electric, full-sized Chevy pick-up truck.
