The owner of a “fighting dog” that injured another person has appeared in court. Diane Kean was the person in charge of an American red nose Pitbull which was “dangerously out of control”.
The animal was “so out of control” it injured a person on Dawdon Close in Hardwick , Stockton . The incident happened on May 15.
The 48-year-old appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court and admitted being the owner or person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. The Stockton woman also pleaded guilty to possessing or having custody of a fighting dog.
Court documents state: “On May 15, 2025 at Stockton-On-Tees had in your possession or custody a dog to which section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 applied, namely an American red nose Pitbull.” The hearing was adjourned for
