An aircraft hangar caught on fire in a Cambridgeshire village. Several Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue crews were called to a large fire in Reach Road, Burwell , at around 6.43pm on Saturday (September 6).

The fire involved an aircraft hangar. A fire spokesperson said: "At 6.43pm on Saturday, crews were called to a fire on Reach Road in Burwell.

"Crews from Burwell, Cambridge, Cambourne and Ely , along with crews from Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk , attended the incident. Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving an aircraft hangar containing a tractor.

"Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and jets and returned to their stations by 9.30pm." The fire service is due to carry out an investigation on Sunday (Septem
