One morning in 2011, a man named Jeff Hindman was walking Siesta Key Beach when he came across the darnedest thing washed up on the shore.

It was an 8-foot-tall, 100-pound Lego Man made from fiberglass with a peculiar message emblazoned on its torso: "No Real Than You Are." On its back were the words "Ego Leonard."
