A pair of tickets, one sold in Missouri and another in Texas, will split a $1.787 billion Powerball jackpot after matching all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing, lottery officials announced Sunday. The jackpot is the second-largest U.S. lottery prize ever won.
The winning numbers were white balls 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, and the red Powerball 17. Each winning ticket is worth an annuitized prize of $893.5 million or a lump sum payment of $410.3 million before taxes.
While no single ticket matched the jackpot numbers in either Ohio or Pennsylvania, lottery players in both states did win other significant prizes.
