Remembrances of Stephen Sondheim — the great composer, lyricist and puzzle-setter who also happened to be a longtime Roxbury resident — have not let up .
Sondheim died nearly four years ago at the age of 91, and his musicals seem to be getting produced more than ever. This month in Connecticut alone, Connecticut Theatre Company in New Britain is staging the revue “ Sondheim on Sondheim ” through Sept. 15, while TheaterWorks Hartford, which is collaborating with Hartford Stage on a production of Sondheim’s musical “Sweeney Todd” at the end of the 2025-26 season in June, is kicking off the season with a gala concert of Broadway stars singing Sondheim songs on Sept. 13.
