Beloved telly presenter Clare Balding has revealed the specific foods she's given up as she shared her secret to shedding the pounds. The 54-year-old BBC Sports host admitted that although she's cut a few foods and drinks from her diet, she doesn't feel like she's "depriving" herself of anything.

The broadcaster has ditched pasta and bread after trying a low-carb diet, and tries to steer clear of sugar when possible. She also completely overhauled her approach to drinking alcohol, swapping a glass of red wine for a gin and tonic.

In a recent chat, Clare said: "I don't feel like I'm depriving myself of things," reports the Mirror .

Her dedication has left her 'feeling better' and the TV star no longer frets about what she wears as she now has the 'confidence' for it.
