Okan the brown bear had to be wheeled to have a CT scan on a stretcher with stomach pains, after gorging himself on fruit served to him at a zoo in Istanbul.

He is, thankfully, fine, and now back home.

But the sight of his downcast face as the consequences of his actions caught up with him may be all too familiar, though maybe your poison was fermented grapes rather than fruit in general.

The bear went viral after footage of his predicament was shared online.

An update on his condition told how he is now back at home, where he has been having a bit of a detox, with cucumber and carrot on a platter instead.

It’s not the first time Okan has had to visit the vet for this.
