YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- The Youngstown South High Alumni Association celebrated 50 years on Saturday at their annual reunion.
The event honored all of the graduating classes from 1911 up until the school's final year.
Although the school closed its doors in 1993, some of the students who once roamed the halls remember it fondly.
"It was a time where we would celebrate sports and activity. In the variety shows, just celebrating talent and abilities of people all over the city," said Sallie Henderson McGeorge.
During the event, awards were given out to the oldest male and female graduate, the most recent graduates and to those who traveled the furthest.
