EAST LANSING – Aidan Chiles took a shotgun snap and kept it to run for a game-tying touchdown in double overtime.

With Michigan State one play away from securing a comeback win, wide receiver Nick Marsh had a request for his quarterback in the ensuing huddle.

“I was tired,” Marsh recalled. “I’m like, ‘Aidan, I’m ready to go home, man, take us home.’”

Chiles delivered once again to cap a monster performance and lead the Spartans (2-0) to a 42-40 win against Boston College (1-1) in double overtime on Saturday night . The junior followed his fifth touchdown of the game by hitting receiver Omari Kelly for the game-winning 2-point conversion.

“We wanted it,” Chiles said. “We wanted that game, we needed that game.”
