LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A woman is accused of crashing a vehicle while under the influence with a 10-year-old passenger in Lancaster in August.

Estefany Violeta Silva, 35, was charged with DUI and Endangering the Welfare of Children, among other charges, for allegedly operating and crashing a vehicle at the intersection of Kentshire Drive and Elmshire Drive in Lancaster on August 16 at 12:55 p.m., according to the Lancaster Township Police Department.

Police say Silva allegedly had a 10-year-old passenger in the vehicle and was immediately taken into custody. Upon taking a blood test, police say Silva's BAC was 0.22%, nearly three times the legal limit.

Silva is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing, per police.
